I heard something today...

I heard something today that troubled me greatly. A teacher made an overhead threat to an unruly classroom to hit students who did not comply, saying that rules didn't matter to her.

What???

I wonder why her classroom was unruly. Could it be that, since the rules don't mean anything to her, they also meant nothing to her students? I think so.

I hope she got in more trouble than the teacher with the crossword form the other post.

I overheard this as I was leaving. I really don't think she meant to hit anyone. Surely, she knows she would be fired immediately.

However, I will be expressing my concern with the headmaster on Monday. Teachers should be consistently sending the message that the rules matter--to everyone.
