Hubby called. He's picking up the DVR on his way home from work TONIGHT. I'm so excited (you know the song, please sing along). :P

Did you watch The Closer last night?

It's on the DVR waiting for me. I'll let you know what I thought after I watch it.

Did you catch Saving Grace? I have that on DVR also.

My hubby and I are completely in love with the DVR. He's even recording Star Trek so he can watch those when I'm not around or busy doing something else. Or I can set him in front of the
TV when I don't want to be bothered. :P (Just Kidding)

No, no Saving Grace. My husband wasn't interested in getting into another show. I'llprobably record the reruns after the season is finished, and watch it without him.

I love the DVR also. I record all the original Iron Chef shows that come on once a week, in the middle of the night. I have some movies on there that I know backwards and forwards, but turn on when I want to watch something, but may not be able to pay close attention. I love it.

This Sunday I'm recording all the Ice Road Truckers so I can watch them in sequence. I've watched most of them but in absolutely no order whatsoever.

I should start keeping some of the movies I record. It would be good for background noise and when I'm making dinner or doing the dishes.

Wow, The Closer was incredible. I had a feeling it was someone from the "audience" watching the investigators after the shooting. Just guessed the wrong person from the picture.

Yeah, it got pretty intense in that elevator. Yeah, i had a feeling it was somebody watching near by too. The camera panned the crowd, so I knew that there had to be a reason, but I didn't know who it was either. Only three more episodes...

Too sad. But at least I'll be able to catch all the shows I missed during the reruns.

I burn dinner often enough already. If I watched movies while I cooked, the fire department guys would just move in...

Son N Law,

Sorry to offend you. But I've seen Speed and Miss Congeniality so many times that it would work for me. Or Hokus Pokus (? sp). I'm talking movies that I've enjoyed, but just don't need to be glued to the TV set at this point to enjoy them.

Son N Law,

Give a few titles of "good" movies and I'll let you know if I've seen them.

How about Pulp Fiction? Or Apollo 13? Or Amelie? Surely you can't wash dishes to Amelie? ;)

Yes, I've seen Pulp Fiction and Apollo 13. I have not seen Amelie, since I think it has sub-titles and I can't watch movies with sub-titles. If I'm wrong, please correct me and I'll rent it.

No, I would not wash dishes to the two that I've seen. They are too intense (for lack of better word, since I'm tired). Those are movies that must be watched with full attention.

But I'm sure you can understand washing dishes to Speed.

CT-95, if you keep that up, I'm going to report you for conspiring to commit hate crimes!

And Goofball, you're right: Amelie is subtitled. You're missing out on one of the best movies of the decade by passing it up, though. Give it a rent and just ignore the subtitles if you're ever in the mood. The dialogue (as great as it is) is almost secondary, anyway.
