| Saddam lost his final appeal and must be executed within 30 days. However, an Iraqi court official said that the execution could take place almost immediately. |

I am opposed to the death penalty on principle. In this particular case, I also wonder if execution will make Saddam a martyr and cause even more terrorism in the world. |
