well he's right sort of cos the iraqi's were allowed to vote for a leader every few years the only problem was after intimidation and elimination of his rivals, he was the only candidate on the ballot |

And, the ballots were not secret. Voting for anyone other than Saddam could prove to be fatal. He was a dictator. |

I don't think it's fair to say that the judge "ruled" Saddam wasn't a dictator, either. He demonstrated a personal bias. An entirely incorrect personal bias, at that. Anyone who believes Saddam wasn't a dictator needs to revisit the definition of the word. Now, if we would like to have a discussion as to whether or not Iraq needs a dictator, that's another matter altogether and, I think, up for debate. But there's no question that he was one. |
