If it hasn't made the list, it should have. Maybe when I nominated all those "yesterday" songs!

Seriously, though, there have been a lot of songs from stage musicals that ought to be on the list. I need to think about that and post some.

I will nominate 3 songs by Tupac Shakur.

"Changes" (released 1998)

"Dear Mama" (released 1995)

"Keep Ya Head Up" (released 1993)

Those songs are amazing, loved by anyone I know who has heard them, and still get played on the hip-hop stations nowadays. You can see easily find them on YouTube, but they do have "explicit" lyrics.

I also want to nominate "Working Class Hero" (released 1970) and "Imagine" (released 1971) by John Lennon. They are both great songs that which are still frequently covered today. They are both on YouTube as well, Working Class Hero has explicit lyrics, but I'm not sure about Imagine. Working Class Hero is definitely my favorite song by John Lennon (or the Beatles for that matter).

Just a reminder about the constraints.

Refer to the first post for the complete details. Songs must be at least 10 years old. They should be classic, not just good in your opinion, and popular--and not just within a narrow band of tastes.

I would add, in keeping with the nature of this site, this one more requirement to the list: ZERO vulgarity. None. If you'd have to edit the lyrics to post them here, the song is ineligible.

I guess all my nominations except Imagine by John Lennon do not count.

I want to nominate:

"Children's Story" by Slick Rick (released in 1988) - This song ranked #44 on the 100 Greatest Rap Songs, and I can still here it on the regular radio stations sometimes. Plus, other artists often do covers of it. It has no swear words as far as I know.

"Another Brick in the Wall" by Pink Floyd has already been nominated. I'll second that.

"In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" by Iron Butterfly (released in 1968) is also worth nominating.

That's all for now.
