Today marks the birthday of George Harrison (February 25, 1943 – November 29, 2001). Known as the "Quiet One," Harrison's biggest contribution to the Beatles was his inventive guitar lines, which brought a mysterious element of Indian and Middle Eastern influence to the pop world, but his infrequent self-penned vocal pieces (like "Taxman," "Here Comes the Sun," "While My Guitar Gently Weeps," and "Something") have also become among the band's most cherished numbers. His solo efforts were marked by an ecclectic mix of folk and world music, along with a deep and transparent spirituality rarely seen in the rock world. To a lesser extent, Harrison also gained fame as a film producer. His most popular cinematic efforts include The Life of Brian, Time Bandits, and Withnail and I. Give Me Love (Give Me Peace on Earth) by George Harrison Give me love Give me love Give me peace on earth Give me light Give me life Keep me free from birth Give me hope Help me cope, with this heavy load Trying to, touch and reach you with, heart and soul Oh My Lord...
